What happens after high school? Planning for the transition to adulthood

    It happens so fast. When you are a parent of a child with a special need or disability, one must be thinking about and preparing for the transition to adulthood from an early age. There are so many things that need to be considered and details to be put into place.

    Just remember, empower your child. It is so easy to find excuses and keep them home and “safe.” But, at this stage of their life, your real job is to help them to become as independent as they are able.
