What happens to my child when I am gone?

    It’s tough to think about who’s going to care for your kids after you’re gone. Who will watch out for them? Who will give them a place to live and make sure they’re fed and clothed? Where will they even get the money for that?

    There are several programs, policies, and benefits that can help you provide for your kids after you pass. But there are also several rules in place that keep you from just leaving money to your children.

    This week, we’ll look at estate planning, special needs trusts, ABLE accounts, and other options that can help give you peace of mind.
